Abstract
Le but de cet article est de montrer en quoi les outils de l'analyse du contact linguistique peuvent nous éclairer sur certains phénomènes se produisant lors du contact entre 1) des systèmes musicaux différents et surtout 2) divers systèmes musicaux qui se ressemblent beaucoup (perçus en tant que dialectes d'une même langue musicale). Il y est question de processus d'assimilation mais aussi de phénomènes qui ne se laissent pas assimiler, en raison de divergences systémiques existantes entre les systèmes en contact. Les données sont prises aux musiques de la tradition du maqām.
The aim of this paper is to show in what way the tools that are used in the description of contact linguistics might be useful in the analysis of some phenomenon emerging when 1) two different musical systems are in contact and more importantly 2) two relatively similar musical systems are in contact (perceived as different dialects of the same musical language). Assimilation processes as well as impossibility of assimilation due to systemic differences in the systems are discussed. The data are coming form the music of the maqām tradition.
