Open Access Policy

Open Access Statement

All journals published by Luminous Insights Publishing are fully open access. Each journal fulfils the DOAJ definition of open access: the copyright holder of each scholarly work grants usage rights to others under an open license (Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International — CC BY 4.0), allowing immediate free access and permitting any user to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, link to full texts, crawl them for indexing, pass them as data to software, or use them for any other lawful purpose.

  • The full text of all published research articles is available free of charge and without delay upon publication.
  • No embargo period is applied to published content.
  • No registration or login is required to read, download, or reuse article content.
  • Open access content is not published under “All rights reserved.”

All Luminous Insights journals follow a Platinum Open Access model: articles may be downloaded, shared, and reused without restriction, provided that the original authors are properly cited. All published articles are licensed exclusively under CC BY 4.0.

Authors retain copyright of their work, while granting publication rights to Luminous Insights. Copyright and licensing information is clearly displayed on the first page of each published article. For full copyright terms and any applicable author fees, see the Copyright & License and Article Processing Charges pages for the relevant journal on this website.

Luminous Insights publishes all journal contributions under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), which allows you to:

Share — copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format.

Adapt — remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, including commercial use.

These freedoms cannot be revoked as long as the license terms are followed. The terms include:

Attribution — You must give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made. This may be done in any reasonable manner, provided it does not suggest endorsement by the licensor.

No additional restrictions — You may not apply legal or technological measures that restrict others from exercising the rights granted by the license.

Any data associated with the article, including reference lists, is distributed under the Creative Commons Public Domain Dedication (CC0 1.0).

Digital Preservation and Archiving

Published content is continuously deposited in a long-term digital archiving system to ensure permanent accessibility of the scholarly record. Luminous Insights journals participate in Portico, a trusted digital preservation service listed in the Keepers Registry. All published articles are assigned persistent identifiers (DOIs) through Crossref.

Repository and Self-Archiving Policy

Authors may deposit all versions of their published work in institutional or subject repositories of their choice, without embargo:

  • Preprint — Authors may share preprints at any time, including prior to or during peer review.
  • Author’s Accepted Manuscript (AAM) — Authors may deposit the accepted manuscript immediately upon acceptance.
  • Published article (Version of Record) — Authors may deposit the final published PDF immediately upon publication.

No embargo is applied to any version. When sharing any version, authors should cite the official Version of Record and include a link to the article on the journal website. This policy aligns with open-access publishing best practices and supports compliance with public-access requirements of major funding agencies.
