Abstract

C’est à partir des idées et des approches de la musicologie systématique fran-çaise que la fondation institutionnelle de la musicologie en Tunisie a vu le jour en 1982. Pendant cette période, jugée comme déterminante au niveau de l’enseignement des arts et des cultures, Mahmoud Guettat a été désigné par le Ministère des Affaires Culturelles pour élaborer une conception et une straté-gie propres à la Tunisie en vue de fonder l’Institut supérieur de musique de Tunis. Cet article parle des premières tentatives institutionnelles de la musico-logie en Tunisie, également des contextes, des prétextes et des nécessités de la création de l’ISMT.

The institutional foundation of Musicology in Tunisia has seen the light in 1982 on the basis of the ideas and systematic musicological approaches of the French school. During this period of time, estimated as remarkable at the level of arts and cultures teaching, Mahmoud Guettat had been designated by the Ministry of Cultural Affairs to elaborate a pure Tunisian conception and strategy in order to create the Higher Institute of Music of Tunis. This article deals with the first institutional attempts of Musicology in Tunisia, similarly with contexts, pretexts and the utmost need of the foundation of The Higher Institute of Music of Tunis that Mahmoud Guettat had been priorly the pro-ject master.
