There are no fees at the time of submission, acceptance, or article processing, and no hidden charges. This model aligns with the mission of Luminous Insights—free to publish, free to access—to remove financial barriers to scientific publishing and advance global scientific progress.

JSM provides unrestricted access to its content, including advanced search functionalities and unlimited article downloads. The costs associated with open-access publishing, article processing, long-term preservation, and indexing are fully covered by Luminous Insights and JSM’s sponsor, the Shidler College of Business, University of Hawai‘i. This also ensures that articles are permanently archived, cross-referenced, and electronically cited in other journals, further supporting the dissemination of research.
